More old concepts
This first concept is for the Johnstown Tomahawks of the NAHL. Johnstown is my home town, and the Tomahawks are the main team here. For anyone who doesn't know, Slap Shot was filmed and based in Johnstown. The Johnstown Jets were the inspiration for Slap Shot, and they played in a different NAHL. This jersey was inspired from them for the movie, and I made one with the only changes being the NAHL log on the front, and a new logo text.
This second concept today is a third jersey I made for the LA Kings. As with previous concepts, numbering wasn't one of my strong suits quite yet. I like the sleeve design and the yoke, but looking back on it, I would have made the bottom of the hem black instead of gray. That would have made it match with the sleeve striping better.
Honestly, looking back on this concept, I regret most of what I did here. I should have made the chest stripe a hem stripe, and picked different text and numbers (which I still was having problems with).
My last concept for this post is my third jersey concept for the Vancouver Canucks. I really wanted to make a green jersey for them, however when I see it now, the arm stripes look too much like Winnipeg's. The numbers are problematic, and the shoulder patches are too close to the collar. With a few small changes, this could have been one of my best concepts.

Some Of My Older Concepts
These are some of my older posts to HJC. I felt like I should probably post them too.
This Buffalo Sabres third jersey concept is one of my earliest entries into HJC. I played around with some of my favorite Sabres logos, and I think it turned out well for an early concept. Looking back on it, some of the major changes I would make now are larger TV numbersw, larger striping on the hem, and a larger yoke so I could move the shoulder logos farther from the collar.
This Hurricanes concept was one of my favorites when I was first making them. I wanted to bring back the hurricane warning flag striping, and in my opinion it worked fairly well. I flipped the logos because personally, I do not like the Hurricanes' current logo. The only thing I would go back and change would be the numbers. as I was starting out I was not very skilled with doing numbers.
First of all, being a Penguins fan, I had a really hard time putting my name on a Flyers jersey..... That being said.....I felt strongly about this concept when I first made it. I took each team's current jersey templates and formed them into a conceptual Stadium Series at Beaver Stadium. Again my numbers, especially on the Flyers jersey, are not done properly. I really liked how the chrome logos and numbers turned out. I wasn't sure how it would be received on HJC, but for an early concept it was rated a 6.9/10 which made me pretty happy compared to the other concepts that were being posted at the time.

FIRST CONCEPT OF THE WEEK AWARD ON HJC!
Last week I won my first Concept Of The Week award on HJC. I've only been doing jersey concepts for about 6 months now, so this came as a shock to me. I'm very happy with my work, and I'm also thankful of everyone that voted for my concept.
Video Game Concept Contest entry at HJC
My first attempt at using an ICEBORN template. This is my entry for the Video Game Concept contest at HockeyJerseyConcepts.com. I chose Pokemon Blue, and it was tough for me because I kept trying to use the Pokemon text logo in the top right corner, but it never worked out for me. Eventually I decided to use the pokeball logo, and I think that worked out just fine.
Please feel free to leave comments and criticism.
